March 29, 2024 - Dark and brooding, minerally, earthy, some leather, tannins still present but softening, succulent with some chewy bits. Delicious

March 17, 2024 - Poured small glass to check the wine and left to slow ox for 6 hours, wow, absolutely excellent. Very mineral. Probably could develop more but amazing now

February 3, 2024 - Très beau nez typique sur l'encens, le cuir et chocolat amer, l'évolution fait son oeuvre dans la complexité aromatique. La bouche est serrée, encore assez tannique, la finesse ressort davantage à table. Superbe allonge, on sent encore un potentiel d'évolution même si on peut s'attendre à ce que le vin demeure toujours assez charpenté.

January 19, 2024 - A little disappointing compared to recent bottles of Pora, Ovello, and Montestefano from the same vintage. Nice enough wine, tannins nicely resolved, showing solid tertiary notes, but just missing a little "oomph." I expect more magic from Asili. Again, I think this suffered in comparison to the other Produttori Riservas from 2008 I've drank recently.

November 23, 2023 - Solid effort. About as expected, no more or less. I don't think it will get any better as it ages from here.
