August 4, 2018 - Reddish with slight browning edges (still a deep purple core though). Not inky.
Nice subtle nose of smoke and ash, dark berries, peppercorns. Very pleasant.
Dark berry flavours, pepper, silky tannins. Nice sweetish core to the fruit (dry wine). Medium length of finish. Not a heavy brooding style. Shows the northern style ... medium bodied, lighter on palate, not overpowering. Good honest wine.
Smooth, balanced structure. Easy going with a nice complexity. -
