  December 27, 2021 - There was a little funk out of the gate that blew off — cassis, some tree trunk and herbal tea. The palate is smooth, with some acidity, a touch of eucalyptus on the palate with more of the cassis, black cherry, currant. It’s good, though not super expressive overall. This might be slightly on the downhill, but is definitely still worth having.

  September 13, 2018 - This has aged very nicely. Nothing to compare it to earlier, but I'd bet it's in its prime. Still solid red fruit, some eucalyptus and other herbal qualities, and perhaps best was the drier and more chalky finish with the great mouthfeel If I didn't know better I could've mistaken it for a Rutherford Cab! Great QPR. 90-91 pts.

  May 11, 2016 - Decanted for 3+ hours. Did not take formal notes as we were enjoying the bottle with a movie. Very smooth texture, lasting finish with soft vanilla over tones. Have two bottles left.
