May 28, 2011 - Floral and berry aromas lead up to flavors of blackberry and spice accented with fine-grained, plush tannins. Nice with Mexican food like beef fajitas or chicken tacos with ancho chiles.

While I am not going to write poetry to this bottle, or even go out of my way to accumulate more, in the whole gamut of things it is way better than that. The Spanish econo-red has taken the country by storm in the last few years with any number of really excellent, interesting and fairly complex wines at fantastic values. This grenache is fruit-forward, some earthy-spicy notes to provide depth and character, not particularly long on the palate, but overall a good value.

A simple and uninspiring wine that's still delivering decent value. Wouldn't mind drinking this in the after hours - with a kebab.
