May 9, 2015 - Even better than the last bottle. A fabulous demisec that is more sec than demi. Clean, clear flavors, bright nose, significant tartness balanced by the bit of sweetness in the back.

November 1, 2014 - Relatively low dosage and not lacking chalkiness or freshness, this comes from an impressive 6 vintages and is incredibly well-balanced and complex. The food pairing possibilities here are intriguing.

October 20, 2014 - Nose: There is a nice richness to the nose with quince, apricots, red and green apples, pears, and a touch of baking spices.

Taste: Medium/full bodied with medium acidity. The acidity springs the palate to life with quince, apricots, melons, peaches, and some pears.

Overall: This is an absolutely fantastic Demi-Sec. It has the richness one would expect and it isn't close to being cloyingly sweet. This has a real nice character to it and is quite enjoyable.

September 15, 2014 - An lovely demisec that is more sec than demi. Clean, clear flavors, bright nose, significant tartness balanced by the bit of sweetness in the back -- a remarkable champagne.

January 14, 2013 - Better than a number could give it. A reference point for this style and a fixture on my dinner table.

Rockss and Fruit

(NV A. Margaine 1er Cru Demi-Sec) This is a nice Champgane but is a bit pricey for what it is. A solid demi-sec that really is not sweet at all. Racy and pure with apple-tinged fruit and a good core of minerality. Steely. I liked it but the next wine done in a similar style crushed it.
