June 23, 2022 - Aromas of old books, old leather , stewed tart cherries , black licorice. Beautiful on the palate, tannins fully resolved. Drink now.

April 14, 2022 - Purchased some bottles of this one by auction recently,
pnp without any decant, bottle in perfect condition,
very mature nose, tar, leather, tobacco leaves and .... with more aeration meat,
the fruit is there still, black forest berry, but more of this leather, stable, barnyard thing, and tar, and finally meaty as meaty can be, thinking of a fine filet, enjoying the meat sitting in a restaurant near the port of BS AS,
very creamy and silky now, but full bodied still, long finish,
would say is at the end of the good enjoyment phase, drink up over the next three years,
I would have liked this one in its prime fruit phase more,

June 17, 2021 - Syrah Blind Tasting - June 2021: [Tasted Double Blind] Pours medium garnet in the glass with medium plus bricking. The nose has a very aged character showing old furniture, old leather, soy sauce, autumnal leaves, with a somewhat pruney cooked fruit profile is fairly cooked and pruney. The palate has pleasant acidity, even showing some fruit, but but does become overtaken by the aged character with soy and brown sugar on the finish. This is all but gone. Not rated.

May 9, 2021 - Dark/black red. Whiff of smoke and varnish. Dry blackberry jam. Oaky, mellow, spiced flavour. Excellent. Not decanted, opened an hour before drinking, and then drank well for three hours.

October 21, 2020 - Consistent with my last note. Beautiful Syrah well aged and still firing on all cylinders.
