October 1, 2019 - Man, this is good and much improved from a few years ago. This has deepened a lot, showing loads of spicy fruit. Bright and long, delicious. So easy to drink.

February 2, 2016 - Just delicious. Soft and approachable. Lots of fruit and spice.
    Great GS blend

December 1, 2014 - Spicy, savory bouquet with chicory, cinnamon, earth, cloves, black pepper, bacon, wood smoke. Light weight body, with a hint of dilution of the midpalate, but there plenty of verve and tang providing the fireworks. Quite young still, even a bit grapey, this will provide delicious and refreshing enjoyment in 2-3 years and go up from there. If this deepens with some time in the cellar, my score will be conservative... DAY 2... This is better, a bunch of spicy raspberry fruit is now on show. Really good.

July 10, 2013 - As a drinker of Riesling, it is rare that I come across a red wine that delivers the level of focus and clarity that I find in my favorite white grape. The 2011 Rocks & Gravel does just that. The clarity of fruit expression, aligned with the non-fruit elements that come from the grape varieties is on full display here. There's no makeup, no veil. It's delicious, fruity and also has great depth that is waitingto unfold. The bottle was shared among a group of people, so I did not get to follow the wine as long as I would have liked, but from what I tasted there is great promise here, not to mention current drinking pleasure.
