January 19, 2024 - This was in a great great spot. Lovely perfume, complex mouthfeel where tertiary aromas just started lurking out. Super smooth.

April 24, 2018 - WS Grand Tour in NYC (Marriott Marquis): From a decanter. Very nice. Still on the young side, but more integrated than the 2014. Lots of red currant. A bit more interesting.

Decanted 2 hours. Very big rich nose. Color is opaque purple black.
Big black cherries, blackberries, dark chocolate, leather, plum, baking spices.
The palate is weighty and very dense. More black fruit, some damp earth and peppery spice.
Tannins are present. A little bit of heat and moderate acidity. -
