February 10, 2024 - 100 % Pinot Meunier. Disgorged 2019. Dark orange color. Not many bubbles left, and those few left after 15 minutes. Expressive aromas of ripe apples, nuts and autolysis. Extremely concentrated and persistent. Developed positively in the glass and took on more power after several hours. A leftover in room temperature showed no signs of deterioration the day after. This Champagne definitely needs a lot of air. A monumental Champagne. A couple of minus points for the slightly oxidized aromas.

April 15, 2022 - 70 bottles to Norway. The last vintage of the legendary 'King of Meunier', René Collard. Bought by De Telmont, after the passing of RC, in 2009, and disgorged in 2010. 100% Pinot Meunier. Dried figs, prunes, coffee and honey on the nose. Dry. Still vibrant acidety. Medium concentrated fruit (not flat, as noted elsewhere). Old cellar apples, citrus and raisins on the palate. Long nutty exit. Definetly something different, but absolutely worth a try - Champagne history in a bottle🤓🍾🥂

November 9, 2014 - Originally a wine from the legendary René Collard in Reuil; after his death in 2009, De Telmont in Damery took over his stocks. 1995 was Collard's final vintage. 100% Pinot Meunier, disgorged 23 November 2010. The long ageing of the Meunier sur lattes, provides this wine with a quite unique character. The usual, abundantly fruity varietal character of the Meunier takes a backseat to an almost austere, yeasty freshness from the lees; the powerful palate is broad-shouldered and vinous, the flavours are not very detailed or expressive but there is a sense of the nutty richness I associate with Pinot Meunier; the somewhat estery finish is slightly short for a wine of these dimensions. Colour is lively and intense but young for age; lively mousse, fine bead. Not an obvious wine, quite intellectual rather. It does prove that Pinot Meunier will age.

January 5, 2014 - Little yeasty, more fruit, apple, pear, flora, perfume. Long finish and good complexity
