July 15, 2019 - I always enjoy this wine. The 2010 seems to be almost as good as the 2009. Decanted 1 hour. Drink now or hold.

    July 7, 2019 - I don’t like it. Too much acid.

June 6, 2019 - Compared to the 2009, which I have consumed quite a while ago, I will certainly tell you that I really wish I had started drinking on these 2009s NOW, knowing that this 2010 wasn't really a pop and pour. I had a little bit of this one before I had to leave. So I was not able to experience it after it had been in decanter for about 2 hours when it was obviously drinking better. Still, my rating is a solid 93. On the youthful side, this one has a lot of darker black cherry and young tobacco notes with some very stiff leather type of influence and even a little bit of a foresty note. The tannin on the back of this has started to soften, although I can imagine how much it probably continue to do so after it had been sitting out in the decanter for a little bit. with the right cellaring, I still think this one has 10 years or so left. Nice pull Shay.Aldriedge (see his note)

June 6, 2019 - Some recent notes below made me think this wasn’t getting any better, so I opened expecting it to be pop and pour...I was wrong. By the end of the night, this needed 1-2 hours in the decanter to blossom. Clove, dark red and black fruit dominant, and sweet cherry pipe tobacco were the main notes I got from the aromatics. Still a bit gripping, powerful, and chalky on the palate. Herbal/leather driven balanced out by more dark fruit...plum, blackberries and just a touch of graphite. Lengthy and delicious finish.

March 5, 2019 - Still opaque and dark as night. Deep dark berry fruits with some
secondary flavors in the background. Still has a solid structure and delicious lengthy finish. Very nice.
