September 28, 2020 - One-hour decant. Wine was brought by a friend so unaware of storage. Wine was clear; dark garnet in the bowl and was lightening towards the rim with just a hint of amber. The nose was dark fruits, leather, earth and some cedar. Wine continued to open up during dinner so I would suggest two hours in the decanter if one has time. Full-bodied, deep Rhone fruit. Very smooth with figs, ripe Queen Anne plums with a little cedar on the finish. No harshness at all. Lovely wine!

April 5, 2020 - This is very true to type for a Gigondas: nose a bit earthy, with ample dark fruit (think ripe plum), beautiful mouth feel, and a very good finish. Drinking at its peak right now (2020), but will remain excellent at least another 5 years. I'll be looking for more.

April 11, 2016 - Dark red with purple hues on the rim, reflective and clear in appearance. Complex aromas of plum, black currant, black cherry, fig, spice. On the palate structured tannins, rounded mouth feel, with black fruit plum, currant, pepper, fig, full body. A lingering finish with dark fruit dominating with hints of cloves and pepper. Overall a good blend of Grenache and Syrah from an excellent producer this wine has opened up over an hour reflects an aged wine typical for Gigondas

February 8, 2015 - My Grade: O+. This needed about 3 hours of air before it was drinkable. Fairly muted nose of cherry, vanilla, black pepper, cloves. Fairly thin on the palate, sour cherry notes are over-whelmed by too much alchohol, acidity and very bitter tannins. Hollow mid-palate, with medium, juicy finish. Disappointing at this price, better with food.
