March 29, 2024 - Dark&Stormy, this dry, smokey, sweet, both black and red fruit, very Grenache. Condentrated and has a bit of the vinatges somewhat alcoholic feel, but only a wee bit. Lingers on. Still young. Have roasted lamb with this ...

February 8, 2024 - drinking well right now, but I think it is at it's peak; there is still some dark plum and raisin notes. the mid palate is very short, , and the the finish is sweet ,, Still enjoyable, but I think the 16% alcohol will keep this wine from getting any better in the short term, Therefore drink what you have now in the next 2 years.

May 27, 2023 - Firing on all cylinders. Blackberry and light non funky almost olive note that I do like. Raspberry & touch of grapefruit. Touch of earth that blows off after being open. Some bacon, leather, meatiness but still very modern. Delicious. Not quite the highs of better vintages but a delicous pour.

December 28, 2022 - If you have a well-stored bottle, this wine is absolutely singing right now. Highly fragrant with an expressive nose of black raspberry, violets, white flowers, wet rock, and vanilla. In the mouth, the wine is vivacious and rich but has no sensation of weight. The finish is lengthy, energetic, and will make you smile. This is a feminine Chateauneuf that possesses an exceptional combination of finesse and impact.

January 1, 2022 - 3 hour decant. Barnyard hints of brett plum and black currant on the nose. Medium bodied and smooth. Well integrated tannins. Vegetal notes dominate the palate with fruit faint in the background. Spicy peppery finish.
Expected more from this wine. More fruit. More interest. Poor QPR. The 2011 Clos des Papes blows this wine away.
