October 29, 2016 - Popped and poured (a mistake), but wow was this great. Lively red fruit, integrated tannins, pinpoint balance..With just the beginnings of some tertiary development. Both aroma and mouthfeel were excellent. Super clean nose. Wish I'd bought more.

July 1, 2014 - Tuesday Night Double Blind $40+ (Bin 75): See through ruby core with pale rose rim; sweet cherry, some green, strong vanilla, spicy, sexy rose, fatter and almost led people away from Burg; sweet and sexy, tangy cherry, richer mouthfeel, some orange, strong mineral undertone; really tasty stuff and a good buy; this and the Morot have surprised me how generous this Beaune 1er Cru can be with its fruit- the structure and mineral underneath make me curious to see how they will drink in 10+ years.

April 23, 2012 - Wine Education Service - Domaine Lucien Jacob (LSE): Vanilla perfume, hints of forest undergrowth, cheese.
Tough but excellent structure, needs time but everything will integrate beautifully.
