    June 9, 2021 - 2011 vintage. No oak.
    Youthful color.
Nose with black and red fruits. Some minty touch. Palate is velvety and smooth. Rich and sweet black fruits, but all in balance. Elegant wine and drinking perfectly now.

January 20, 2020 - Heavier in style than what we normally drink but good for a Syrah blend. Nice tannins.

  • Neurowine1 Does not like this wine:

November 23, 2019 - final bottle. 6 years in the box. Quite a bit different than the '12 Les Bancels I had a couple nights ago, and much different than the bottle of the same wine I had earlier this year. This one is jammier, hotter, and much more disjointed. Cough syrupy (which i am usually fine with) but a bit dried out and mean on the finish. This is beyond its prime. Drink up!

February 26, 2019 - For the tariff, this is good stuff. Gorgeous nose of black cherry, mushrooms, and underbrush. In the mouth, explosive black fruits and tar. Little if any wood, but there is a huge richness here. This is new world styled but no denying this is delicious stuff. Great on a cold rainy night.
Next day this tasted too jammy and international for me.

September 1, 2016 - I love this wine! Syrah and Grenache are really fantastic couple if made by good vineyard! No oak makes it fresh and fruity - one of the best wines from Faugeres, if not the top one:)
