October 10, 2021 - Great Napa cab from another era! Alive and well. Black fruit, bell pepper, tobacco leaf. Rich and with good lift. Excellent stuff.

January 30, 2021 - Like new btl, solid cork, high fill and ..over the hill. Too bad, previously had a terrific btl a couple years ago. This one was again sourced 2 yrs later from same store but, likely from a diff cellar than tonight's. This more recent May 2020 purchase sure looked promising. Oh well.

November 11, 2019 - This is really good and what I find to be at its peak drinking stage ! Cork crumbled but was only stained about a third of the way up the cork and was relieved went I got it out as the beautiful smell of sweet ripe fruit wafted from the bottle . This is just another example of Napa valley wines from the 90’s that are just special . Sweet ripe fruit, minerals, a touch of oak and tannins that just grip enough to keep that 45 second finish flowing through your palate fantastic Trilogy 93 points !

October 27, 2018 - Label says....44% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot, and 16% Cabernet Franc. I opened this about an hour prior to dinner. The btl was in mint condition and the fill high in the neck but the cork while only 1/2 soaked was crumbly dry coming apart as I tried to remove. 1st test sip & sniff told me all was well so I poured a Reidel BDX for myself to check in on and left the rest slow ox. Great nose of cigar box and spice from the get go. Semi opaque ruby red. The palate was open and slightly tannic at first but rapidly fleshed out into a wide array of dark fruit, earth, tobacco leaf, cedar, and mineral. There's still a level of richness but with plenty of lift. Ultra balance, elegant and BDX like. Had the "kids" over with the grand kids and they were looking for extra pours. What a terrific Napa Cab blend from another era! 13.2% Alc. 94pts+
