Community Tasting Notes 3

January 31, 2020 - La Festa del Barolo Gala Dinner (The Pool in NYC): Not quite as much life in our bottle as the previous note suggested. This was classic aged barolo which for me seems to get to a saddle oil style. Fruit faded.

May 7, 2019 - there was a surprising amount of life left to this wine. The wine was dark garnet in color with fully resolved tannins. it drank so young, i thought to question its provenance . on the palate, the wine showed cherry liquor, some leather, tar and balsamic, and overall, the fruit was much brighter than I expected. it was a real treat to taste this wine.

August 11, 2017 - Earth and leather. Long and complex. Mostly dark fruit flavors with tar and leather. Excellent wine.
The wine looks garnet colored. The legs are slow. There is heavy sediment in the bottle. It smells like mineral, forest floor, mushroom, smokey bacon, stoniness, rose and walnut. It tastes like fig, forest floor, mineral, mushroom, smokey bacon, light toast and walnut. The body is medium/full. The wine has smooth texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has medium acidity.
