May 4, 2019 - Dark red and mix of rich red berries and plum. Full body and well rounded. Tannins mellowed with tones acidity.

March 23, 2019 - decanted for 1 hour - but it developed and open out after 1.5-2hr later.
Colour: still dark plummy. amazing colour and cork is still fresh.
nose: dark plum, dark cherry, earthy soil
palate: concentrated plum, not sweet but dry, dark chocolate end w/ initial slight bitterness. really enjoy this.

February 8, 2019 - This was an outstanding wine. Full bodied, blackberry tones a little earthy and full bodied. 15 years young and an absolute cracker.

December 25, 2018 - Well balanced and bold Shiraz. Black berries and spicy this wine also has nice after taste.

February 20, 2016 - Fascinating. Powerful. Holy shit.

Came across an 03-05 vertical of this and enjoyed the 03 a few years back. Was a complete education on Aussie Syrah at the time; hadn't even heard of Clarendon Hills, Henschke, and the like. This represents that top tier.

The nose is raspberry jam and the best cup of espresso you've ever been pulled, and greets you from a foot away. Similar flavors but with so much treble and bass around them you can't stop obsessing about the next sip. The finish is airy and throbbing at the same time, and indefinite. Not the most complex or layered wine out there, but it's arresting, and still very much in its prime.
