April 5, 2024 - Meta in Singapore. Lemon color. Beautiful nose, creamy, buttery, citrus, mandarin, orange. Love it. Med acidity, med body, med flavor intensity, med alcohol, med finish. Love the texture, orange, greenness, citrus, cream, butter, vanilla, white pepper. Some salinity at the end. So rich. Pairing perfectly with the Korean starters.

June 8, 2022 - Certainly best showing yet. Masculine, intense, smokey, plenty of citrus, confit, razorblade acidity that lifts everything; loving it. Very much alive and kicking.

January 8, 2022 - Clear golden color, deep tears at the glass almost looking like a sweet wine. The sweet, sauternes-like color is supported by the nose: lemon zest, orange, pickled lime, a hint of honey and what seems like botrytis. Full bodied, sweet attack on the palate. Then a fantastic acidity kicks in, cleansing the mouth of all the sweet aromas and accentuating notes of lime, lemon zest, orange and a hint of petroleum. The finish is fresh and sweet at the same time, leading into a long citrusy aftertaste. This has worn it's age wonderfully, and I would not be fearful of aging this one for another five years. High quality, but I see that many will get a bit distracted by the sweet wine, sauternes like quality. This was drunk with a spicy tom yum soup with scampi. Not an easy match for wine, but this was just a match made in heaven.

May 24, 2020 - Opening old(ish) Alsace Rieslings is always exciting. Not because I know that they age well, rather because it is such a hit-and-miss affair. This is a hit. Deep golden colour, but still with that lively green hue. Unmistakeably Alsace Riesling on the nose: peach, red apples, yellow plums and that nice sniff of chalk and petroleum. Full bodied, almost a bit sweet on the attack (peachy), then the sweetness is finely balanced by acidity, leaving room for sweet fruit of peach, melon and yellow prunes. The finish is fresh and almost tannic, sits for a long time. Alsace Riesling never have the elegance and intensity of their German cousins, but this is a very good try. Biodynamically made, but far from any "natural" wine. Perfect with sushi.

August 8, 2019 - Lots of petrol here, but much more as well, citrus, minerals and an appealing sweet fruit at the end. Dry and firm, at while certainly mature, this will live.
