February 17, 2013 - I love other vintages. Had a few btls of the 20013 and still excellent. This 2001 was a bit past its prime.

July 5, 2010 - I thought this was a classic Napa Valley Cabernet. It had the great structure, acids and silky smooth tannins one has come to expect from a finely tailored Napa Cab. I felt the wine was quite singular in dimension, otherwise it would have received another 4-5 points. I opened it next to the $35 Quilceda Creek and found them both to be well made products. Giving the edge to the Baldacci, simply because it was smoother. The finish of the Quilceda seemed to go much longer, but the Baldacci was super silky.I wish I had more of this resting in the cellar just to see if another 5 years does it further justice. If you are sitting on one of these, it's time to start reaping it's rewards.

August 23, 2009 - Much better than expected. Sorry not to have a nother bottle to compare later. Big upfront fruit..well rounded tannins...cocoa and leather throughout...If you can find it, buy it...Great value at around $30...
