February 8, 2024 - Very nicely aged but not over the hill; color still dark and clear; Bordeaux nose; velvety on the palate with nice fruit; medium finish; great balance.

August 14, 2022 - Aussie Night 2.0 (Buellton, CA): Decanted for several hours to the let the mild brett blow off, which it did easily. Powerful, with loads of green and black pepper, some menthol and a touch of dark cherry. Velvety texture, smooth and pure.

February 14, 2022 - double decanted for half an hour before dinner. Lovely deep rich colour, fully developed shiraz nose. Plenty of fruit up front that builds in the middle to a very full on, long finish. What an amazing wine. Still going strong at 26 yr old. Sadly my last bottle. Doubtful it will get better, but how much better could this wine get? A seriously great example of McLaren Vale Shiraz...if you can find it...buy it

December 15, 2021 - Deep color, perfect for steak. Drink.

May 1, 2021 - At a lovely age. Soft, sweet, black fruits and five spice, very harmonious. Some lightening in colour but medium red to the rim. In perfect balance, soft fruit and acid, reasonable tannins framing the wine, which is ageing gracefully. It won’t get better from here but no rush. Drink inside 10 years though.
