May 31, 2019 - Similar to note from last year.

September 2, 2018 - Drank alongside a 2002 Laurent Chambolle Musigny 1er cru Derrière les Grange VV.

Generally consistent with my note from last June. Clearly a step up from the 2002 though still lacking the mid palate and gravitas I expect of a GC That being said it is a very enjoyable wine which is early in its drinking window and could well put on more depth over the next 5-10 years. His wines continue to be pretty impressive as they evolve

June 6, 2017 - Nice deep ruby core little sign of age. Initial funk blew off after 30 minutes and a modern Cali pinot noir profile emerged. Mid weight, nice texture, red and dark fruits, oak integrated - so much for concerns regarding his use of 200% new oak, good balance, pleasant acidity kept it all lively. Some earth and spice as well. Drinking well, don't have a lot of experience with Laurent but courious to see if further aging will add complexity and more Burgundian nuances.

November 24, 2016 - Nice old color , poured and took a whiff ; older , mature , alcohol , pinot. tasted; a bit closed i.e. without fresh fruit , let sit for a while , 2 hours later this guy is not coming around , past prime. Drinkable . Over the next 3 hours this wine took on a very muted easy drinking thing , much better than earlier , not very pinot though . Old Burgundy weirdio things , no metal , lost its nose as well.

August 31, 2015 - Starting get some browning. Developing secondary aromas and flavors. Sous boos, dark fruits, earth, leather, savory nose. Nice depth and length. Soft tannins. Some mineral. Good acidity. Not over-oaked to me. Develops beutifully with some air
