September 27, 2021 - Possiblement que la bouteille était off, pas du tout comme la première. DOmmage!

June 9, 2017 - Nez assez mutique à l'ouverture, puis des fleurs blanches à l'aération. Bouchez assez courte, finale saline très agréable.
    Peut mieux faire...
The wine looks yellow gold colored. The legs are medium. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like lemon and acacia.

November 16, 2015 - Chablis-Tasting, Wine 8: The wine was medium to intense lemon in colour and offered a ripe, developed nose of ripe apple, quince, firestone and chalk, complemented by mild spicy notes. On the palate the wine showed ripe citrus fruit, dried apple, chalk and mineral notes, with smooth, medium-plus acidity and superb length. This medium-bodied Chablis Grand Cru Château Grenouilles was balanced, with good concentration and complexity. Drink now.

    October 14, 2014 - Tasted blind.

Intense, deep and concentrated greenish-yellow color. Somewhat restrained and moderately toasty nose with aromas of creamy oak, ripe pineapple, some toasty wood spice, a little bit of nutty oxidation and a hint of butter. The wine feels medium-bodied, pretty acid-driven and quite structured on the palate with flavors of spicy wood, ripe red apple, some creamy oak, a little bit of ripe pineapple and a touch of smoke. The finish is quite long, spicy and somewhat woody with flavors of creamy oak, ripe yellow fruits, a little bit of vanilla, a hint of ripe apple and a touch of stony minerality.

A surprisingly balanced and structured for a 2009 Chablis, but as the wine showed quite hefty oak character for a Chablis with very ripe, fruit-forward palate, I honestly thought this was a "serious" Australian Chardonnay at approx. 15€. I mean it did show that rather prominent oak character Australian Chardonnays have been known of with fruit suggesting warm temperatures, but also showing some nice acid brightness that seems to be a new standard with the better Aussie Chardonnays. These points were reflected in the comments of many other tasters as well and only one or two guessed Burgundy - no-one thought of Chablis. So in a nutshell: this is a pretty decent effort at oaked Chardonnay, but it feels like it has nothing to do with a Grand Cru Chablis - at least no-one thought this fruity and heavily oaked wine was a Chablis. It wasn't an over-oaked butter bomb, fortunately, but still way too oaked for my preference - especially when it comes to Chablis. Feels heavily overpriced for its quality at 49€.
