Community Tasting Notes 6

April 26, 2010 - This drank quite a bit better than the previous bottle... the bottle was more autolytic, more rich and deep with the fruit, more full bodied... finish was longer... a very rich and full, very premier cru in the expressiveness of its fruit and fullness... very little oxidation and holding strong though at its peak...

November 20, 2009 - Fish and Chips and Champagne (Masters Superfish - Southwark London): Clearly more rounded, softened, getting to nutty but still with tauct chalky extract. XXX

November 19, 2009 - Fish and Chips and Champagne (Masters Superfish, London SE1): Warmer (in temperature) than the Fourny, which probably made it taste rounder than it actually was; rich, salty and fine in an unobtrusive sort of way

October 3, 2009 - Moderately deep color, yellow hue, moderately fine mousse. On the nose plenty minerality that exceeds the apple and light citrus... some autolytic toast notes, very little oxidation for its age, no signs of oak use. On the palate the wine has firm effervescence, is high in acidity, has a pretty full midpalate for Champagne, and tapers off into a low to moderately long finish. Balanced wine with low to moderate complexity, good intensity, moderate length. Certainly has finesse and a fine texture... very Cotes des Blancs. Certainly a good wine but nothing more. Certainly will age longer though I don't know if it will turn into anything grand.

July 3, 2009 - I think the bottle was off. Green olives and lemon, it never really showed anything. Strange.
