February 19, 2023 - I am foregoing, giving a score on this one, since it’s on the backside of its drinking window. The nose started off quite musty, but then became quite rich - Somewhat like a tawny port and leather. The color was a wonderful brick, typical of aged Nebbiolo’s. it was still drinkable but I wouldn’t want it as my only wine during the evening. if I were to score this one, I would give it an 89 -a couple points higher if you love old wines, and several points lower if you’d like, young fresh ones.

September 19, 2022 - Definitely a modern style, with flashes of richness and opulence, but there is also a bit of rusticity coloured in. Quite dark, much more so than expected, with a heavily scented nose of baked cherries and plums, lots of dried roses, and sous bois. Some more volatile aromas also make an appearance. The palate is quite moreish and rather dense, though with some rather clunky tannins and just enough acidity to keep the lumbering fruit on the move. I realise some of this note doesn't always sound flattering, but this was a very enjoyable wine, if not particularly polished or elegant.

September 17, 2019 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #041: Barbaresco (By MW): In the bouquet vanilla, chocolate and stable impressions. On the palate juicy dark berries and cherries. Good acidity and sticky tannin, a touch of sweetness, vanilla, some celery, but also drying and a firm dose of oak. Does this need more time?

May 1, 2014 - Not as strong currently as the 2007- a little bit lacking/closed currently and missing that big floral nose.
Still a tasty Barbaresco and a good value. For 2008 the Produtorri Barbaresco has the edge for 2008s.
