October 2, 2016 - Decanted for a few hours - needed the decant. Pretty stiff tannins - needed some prime rib to settle down. Enjoyable with dinner.

January 22, 2016 - Dark and dense violet. Packed and fruity aromas with, herbs, spices, leather and oak. In the mouth, rich, intense and concentrated with pepper and liquorice in the finish.

June 26, 2015 - Dark purple, medium legs. Orange peel. Still fruity, medium fine grainy tannins. High acidity. Not as balanced as when it was younger, but still good potential to soften.

October 4, 2014 - Dark and dense violet. A bit muted aromas of cool fruit, herbs, spices, leather and oak. In the mouth, rich, intense and concentrated with pepper and liquorice in the finish. A bit marked by the high alcohol (14.5%). Interresting to taste such a good carinena (60 %) wine.

April 13, 2014 - A glass at Jean Georges restaurant in New York.
Unfortunately - the bottle was just opened to pour my glass.
Probably needs to breath a while a head of serving.
Swirling occasionally for nearly an hour isn't enough to make up for this. Though consuming it with the caramelized beef tenderloin at the end of the hour helps. I'd hold it for now.
I wasn't sure what's the blend here. Was hoping for a high percentage of Grenache, but it's too spicy for me. From the flavour profile I suspect Shiraz-Cabernet and Carignan are all present.
It seems well-made but not my cup of tea. I prefer most of Mas Martinet's blends and Scala Dei.
