May 12, 2012 - Lovely warm (although not over-generous) nose of black fruit and old oak. Red cherries just about still discernible on the palate, but fairly light in mouth feel. Bit disappointing in comparison to much older 1987 I had recently which was still holding up very well. Drink the 1999s up soon.

December 11, 2011 - This was a nice surprise. Better than the bottle I had 2.5 years ago. Thought it be on its way down, but no, the nose was fabulous! And, even though it is medium bodied at most, it is not thin or tired. Holding on very well. However, no point waiting any longer either.
