Community Tasting Notes 2

January 17, 2016 - Earlier poor reviews by other are sadly uninformed, this wine is intensely characteristic and correct. Medium garnet with noticeable viscous edges. Nose is full of brine, tapenade, seaweed and umami, classic WA terroir driven Syrah profile that others, like Reynvaan/Result of a Crush and others from the Rocks get so much praise for. Taste is a touch thinner, but still lively and crisp, with plenty of mouthfeel. Taste is a trace tannic, more time to go. This screams Rattlesnake Hills in a cool year, and frankly Black Rock vineyard could not be more coveted, used by Corliss and Tranche. Near peak, but I'd revisit in a year.

October 19, 2013 - Takes a while to open up, and even then is a little lacking in character.
