November 7, 2021 - Dinner with J over. Diam10 cork closure. Drank in Gabriel Standart.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of peach, salty saline minerality, salty butter nicely integrated oak, thick citrus lemon. Developed.
On the palate, dry, rounded medium+ acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medum+ body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of rich citrus lemon, lime zest, ripe peach, salty saline minerality, integrated otast with touch of butter + nuts. Long rich finish.
Very good quality. Well matured and at peak. Lovely Puligny 1er that is from a plot approaching the Meursault character style.

July 19, 2021 - This is drinking beautifully and is ready to consume at a relatively young age. I did give it a couple of hours in the decanter to help it on its way. It is a wonderfully decadent experience and enhanced by food. Pineapple, pear, and peach are to the fore with some honey and vanilla hints in the background. It has a wonderful butteriness in the mouth but with a decent acidity. This should stay at this level for a good few years. 94+

March 28, 2015 - Light gold colour. A rich, expressive nose of golden peach, pear, brown spices, meadow flowers and some vanillan oak, with a suggestion of pineapple. Ripe and voluptuous on palate too. Real concentration, volume and serious structure. Perhaps more Meursault than Puligny in its richness, weight and texture. The flavours are peaches, pears and other orchard fruit, with a hint of the tropical and a touch of honey. There is oak visible here but it's in proportion. The impression of lower acidity, but sufficient acids to provide focus. My raw Bluff oysters pulled the acidity and mineral elements out of the wine and to the fore. Powerful and persistent. This wine has tons of stuffing for a long life, if it survives premox. Scored 92 (93 with the oysters).
