October 3, 2013 - A well balanced red blend made in the more modern California style. Beautiful dark claret color and good mouthfeel. Nose is lush with fruit, spice and cedar. Fruit forward with berryfruit, cassis and notes of mint and spice. Solid tannins that were a bit harsh at first, but smoothed out after decanting for an hour. Nice lingering finish. Should drink well for several more years. Very solid effort by a talented young winemaker.
