January 4, 2014 - Not one for me this wine. We tried it cold and warm, straight from the bottle and over a three day period, but nothing about this wine did it for us. OK, so it smelt of Chard and subtle oak, all good so far, but then on the palate the body fell away leaving an unhelpful line of acid. And not high quality, fine acid. The end result? A wine which should have been delicious coming across lean and mean, without the structure in the fruit to carry it forwards, and too shrill at this stage for my palate... and I love good acid in my wine. Shame. I'll save me WA Chard $'s for something like an Art Series.

November 16, 2013 - Very attractive complex nose showing pineapple and citrus fruit and nutty minerality. Good balance with moderate oak giving it structure and definition and firm acidity. Should be even better in a few years.

February 13, 2013 - To be drunk over 2-3 nights.
First impressions, first night; served ~12C after aeration. Delightful nose - nutty aromas predominant. Grapefruit, lemon and (again) nutty characters on the palate. Light-medium body/mouth feel; delicate; cleansing acid. Good length of aftertaste. Medium complexity. Overall, a good start.

2nd Night - with intervening storage in original (screwtop) bottle in wine fridge at ~12C.
Oops, this experiment has failed. The freshness of fruit and acid are gone. I'd hoped the half bottle left would be a surrogate for wine 1-3 years older. Instead I think that oxidation has occurred well beyond that which occurs when (I and others) give equivalent treatment to a young red wine. I doubt it's a sign that this wine will not age well - that would be most unlikely.

January 19, 2013 - lychee, hints of lemongrass, ripe pears and creamy butterscotch.

January 2, 2013 - Light yellow colour. A very fine Chardonnay. Aromas of grapefruit, white peace, spice and nuts. Flavours of grapefruit, lemon, ginger, cinnamon and nutty oak. Long and complex. Good value too.
