November 8, 2020 - Disappointment. Nothing wrong with the bottle, fill level, etc, but wine was flat, did not have SGN level sweetness. Bad bottle? Don't think so.

October 22, 2017 - Lovely Gewurz, not very sweet but refined. Still some rose petals. Missed a bit of concentration and complexity. Olivier’s SGN’s are normally more dense and extracted, this is a lighter style but still so beautiful.

May 12, 2007 - Good, but not quite sweet enough...

October 10, 2006 - St John Offline (St John, London): A bit late to enjoy fully, but such a concentrated wine, as Jeff and Dena say, this is Rangen first and Gewertz second. Very refined, facinating herbal notes of bayleaf, pure and balanced.

October 6, 2006 - Suckling Pin Dinner at St. John (London, UK): Medium gold in color with amber highlights, this big full bodied wine was just how I like my Rangen Gewurz - 90% Rangen, 10% Gewurz. Even with all the sugar, there were plenty of minerals and peat showing through on the palate. Despite all this the palate was almost delicate while full bodied at the same time. Great razor sharp acidity on the long spicy finish washes everything away leaving a residual sensation that seems to last until you take the next sip. 50+14+13+9+9 = 95
