July 17, 2021 - Very fruit forward and no tannins now. Not very big or complex but so enjoyable. Decanted one hour. Light and sweet finish. Bright. Delicious.

November 26, 2020 - Huge wine for Thanksgiving. Deep dark inky look to it. Wine was very fruit forward with lots of ripe red cherries, blackberries, and raspberries to taste. Finish was an extraordinary minute or longer. Tannins are still present, but diminished. Very little sediment in this bottle and the nose had classic Napa Valley to it. This is as good a 2011 Schrader as I have had and lives up to its hype. Drink now or keep for many more years.

March 2, 2020 - One of the better 11s we have had for sure. A tinge of green out of the gate that blew off almost instantly. Could even have been my imagination! Just had my second bottle. Not my imagination. This is truly a vintage that should have gone down the drain all over CA.

July 31, 2018 - A little on the acidic side when opened, it benefited from an hour decant. Wonderful nose with plums, black currants, spice and a little cedar. Similar flavors. Medium bodied with silky smooth tannins in a medium finish. Did not notice any of the greenness the vintage is known for. Not as concentrated or complex as some years. In a really good place. Will hold, but I doubt will get much better.

June 1, 2018 - Great stuff. Classic Schrader cab. Wonderful after about 45 minutes of air (though made the mistake of Vacu-Vin the last glass and not returning to it for a week--gone!)
