April 23, 2023 - Needed to warm up and breathe but once it did it demonstrated how well it aged. Lots of dark fruit notes and a hint of tannin to give it character. Rolled across the tongue with a medium long finish. Another wonderful Patty Green Pinot.

November 26, 2022 - Decanted 45 minutes ahead. Light ruby color, slightly cloudy, and clear at the edge. Black cherry nose, but more cranberry on the palate, with a note of spice (but not the rose we got two nights ago. Mouth-coating, with a long finish. Dusty tannins still in evidence. Paired with porcini and chanterelle tart (again!), but didn’t seem as magical as when we paired the 2010 with it. Wine really fell apart after four hours in the decanter: last glass not such a happy one.

November 24, 2022 - From a vertical 2010, 2011, 2012 library release. Opened all three bottles an hour before dinner. Ruby color, medium-light bodied. Black raspberry and cherry again, like the 2010, with spice and rose notes. Paired with the usual roast Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry-orange chutney, (savory) sweet potato tart. Less acclaim than the other two.

December 24, 2021 - G5; 4*+8.5*+4+8+8*4*+4*=91+; Color is a medium-light ruby with little deterioration; very aromatic, dominated by raspberry; mouthfeel is in alignment with '11 vintage with tart notes, but no flaws. Flavors are somewhat muted compared to the aromatics, but, along with the medium finish, the '11 vintage alignment is excellent. Balance and ageablility are again aligned with the better '11s and that is a compliment!. There are only a few of the best producers that bettered this wine and it is a very nice effort in a difficult vintage. Days 2 & 3: Gained some smoothness and lost some of the tartness. Color started fading. Cloudiness and sediment in the last 25%.
