Community Tasting Notes 2

January 19, 2008 - Dinner with the fellas; 1/19/2008-1/28/2008 (nyc): An intense perfume greets the nose with rich cassis, oak and meaty scents vying for attention. With air typical notes of earth and subtle green pepper join the bold aromatics. This offered a well integrated mouthfeel right out of the bottle with a rich, slightly tannic mid-palate full of spicy, dark berry fruit balanced by an assertive black mineral tone that extends through the finish. Nicely structured still this is just entering it's peak drinking window and remains a deep, richly youthful wine. 2008-2018

October 26, 1999 - Nose of black cherry, black berry, white pepper, forest floor, and spring flowers, same on the palate, big body, tasty, mouth filling fruit, at peak, lovely, feminine, and a long finish and lovely aftertaste. Tom is famous for his Pinot Noir but this Cabernet Sauvignon is a sleeper.
