February 24, 2008 - 99 was a great year for Swanson. I discovered the 99 Merlot back in 2003 and fell in love. To date this is still my favorite vineyard!
We had thought we waited a little long to drink this wine and found that it was still in excellent shape.
Nose: Floral bouquet, roses. Taste: Black fruit, black pepper, hint of tobacco. Long finish. -

April 1, 2007 - Absolutely teriffic. Tons of Dark chocolate notes. Some berry, a touch of spice and a lingering finish. Smooth in all the right ways. A classic example of Swanson Merlot.
