January 31, 2020 - Awesome cab with fantastic complexity and even balance, with earthy herbal notes and pure black fruits. impeccably balanced in the Napa cab style. Heritage Wine Blind Tasting Finals after-party at Jean-George Las Vegas

December 24, 2016 - Seemed to have a lot more life in it then some might think...Not much of a decant, but very big and lively

February 24, 2015 - I continue to just love these wines and rue the day that the vineyard was no longer available to this producer (I like the HLs a lot, but not sure they quite run at this level). It's more herbal and floral than it is a big standard Napa cab. The color is almost a touch oxidized and more light brown. It's just got this elegance and depth though that I love. The wine is one thing one moment and a completely different impression the next. Very good.

December 20, 2014 - Q4 2014 Wine Dinner (Everett Home): This is classic stuff. Has aged gracefully, and secondary notes are present. Drank side by side with a 2009 IX Estate. This was the more delicate, caressing of the two. But I found that I preferred this one (slightly) over the IX Estate. It's just in a better drinking period. And great balance. No need for heavy food accompaniments on this one; enjoy by itself or with some lighter fare. Medium finish. This is drinking well now, and I'm not sure that it has the stuffing to cellar for a lot longer.
