September 24, 2022 - Bandreas & Company Stopped in Madrid; 9/23/2022-9/24/2022 (Coalla - Madrid): Original beer Desperados (tequila flavored) as appetizer.
And there the Palacios family continues supposedly triumphing outside their comfort zone, La Rioja. At least it is curious that these triumphs , always under the initial support of the umbrella of the group of Robert Parker Jr., defining a style in their respective areas of influence, granting the mark of what should be considered terroir. Unbelievable. Shameful.
Cork penetrated by wine. Colour of antique gold. Aromas of vegetable paste and anise. Also some limestone ore, pineapple and a slight moisture note from the basement of a country house. On the palate it retains a good acidity, a light-bodied wine and abrupt finish. Years have not sat excessively well. Insulting its lemony appearance, how can this wine be considered one of the best whites in Spain? It has remained a purely gastronomic wine. Vulgar at its best. Never again. Throwing half of the bottle down the drain is not precisely a tasteful glass. Being honest, absolutely indigerible by the way.

July 26, 2021 - Don't know if this was an "off" bottle, but the nose and flavours seemed restrained/muted compared to the younger vintages of this (16 and 17). Mouthfeel was good and was the acid.

December 17, 2020 - Had a couple of old (and I figured “gone”!) bottles laying around, then saw a note (Decanter) suggesting it’s ageworthy. Turns out, yes wow!
Nice color; gold and I think has deepened. Nose has lots of yellow flower, honey, lime and brine. Mouth has sone viscosity and waxiness, almost viognier-like. Long, and crisp. Mouth watering. Drinking great, definitely nowhere near “gone”. (:
Better than I remember this as a “young wine”!

February 13, 2013 - Interesting flavor profile, almost chardonnay like with butter and pear, but with the acidity of a Sauvignon blanc. Nose doesn't give a ton, a bit reticent but had some of the vanillan hint of a Cali chard. But in my mind, the acidity here makes this a wildly food friendly wine. Say, for a meaty white fish like sole or branzino.

August 14, 2012 - Lovely minerally nose with ripe melon and citrus fruit. Crisp and fresh with excellent balance, the fruit sharp and zingy, there is a nice touch of salinity and a lingering almost floral finish. Very nice.
