October 23, 2014 - A middlin' Rioja quaffer: lighter bodied, red fruit, red bell pepper, iodine, spice, green olive.

January 18, 2014 - Decanted for two hours, and it definitely needs it because the fruits are pretty shy (a bit sour) upon opening--fruits open up significantly after a couple hours of freedom; Garnet in color, extends well out to the edge of the glass; Aroma: vanilla, dark berries, oak but not oaky, a bit of saddleback worn leather, bit of smoke; Taste: not as good as it smells, muted fruit flavors, short finish but rounded tanins, cassis/blackcurrant, blackberry. Overall, for the price, a good value. Not great, but good. Enjoyable but not fantastic. A solid B wine.

November 26, 2013 - Gonzales Byass wines tasting (Wine Depot, Tel-Aviv): dark red-ruby colour
nose: fungi, stable, some red & dark fruits, bit aggressive.
palate: modern Rioja, fresh fruity cherries, some oak-vanilla, full bodied, good acidity level, medium finish.
