  January 30, 2023 - Chez Dalluge does Momofuko w/ Champagne, Whites, & Reine des Bois Vertical (Chez Dalluge, MN): Small glass over 20 minutes. The notes were fading at this point of the evening. Baked apple, golden raisin, nougat and cereal notes with caramel. Nice.

  October 28, 2022 - Medium plus gold color. Drank a glass from the wine pairings menu at Meritage. Seems I have this every two or three years, and this is mindful of previous experiences. What really struck me about this tonight was all the nougat character and nuttiness. It totally reminded me of the old white Zero Bars with almond nougat, caramel, toffee and nuts. Zero bar, golden raisin fruits, distilled spirts, Cognac, and honeycomb, with the alcohol bleeding through a little more than I like.

  April 13, 2020 - A blend of 60% Merlot and the rest Cabernet Sauvignon but to judge it by its amber colour and it’s aromas and flavours it’s the last grapes I’d have guessed this wine is made from. A nose of apricot and honey which follows through on the very sweet palate with a pronounced nutty and caramelised Cognac finish. A lot of wine for the money which works well as a sweet aperitif or digestif on its own or with cheese, chocolate or fruit desserts.
