May 22, 2022 - A seductive nose reveals pencil shavings, forest berries and some sous bois. Fresh and lively in the mouth with some fine grained tannins in the finish. Smells like a fine Bordeaux with some pedigree, but lacks some complexity in the fruit to go completely stellar.
Delivers lots of joy now, feels like it is in a good place at this age. I love Cab Franc with some age and this was a pleasant rendez-vous. Great value!1 person found this helpful Comment -

August 22, 2015 - 2010 Clau de Nell, Cabernet Franc.
Testet etter en anbefaling. En interessant drue, mest fordi den er mora til Cabernet Sauvignon. Man kjenner virkelig slektskapet. Nesa minner mye om en Bordeaux med plommer, kirsebær, lær og litt krydder. Virkelig forførende på nese. Åpner fint i munn med friske kirsebær, solbær og lær. Intens frukt. Strammer seg fint opp, flott kropp, og dør litt ut og kommer tilbake med lær, stall, grønne urter og tobakk. Frisk i munn med fine tanniner. Står bra til greske lammespyd. Sjarmerende vin med litt usjarmerende avslutning. Ikke så grønn og paprikapreget som druen visstnok skal uttrykke. Noen liker mora, andre liker dattera. Jeg liker nok begge, men foretrekker datteren. 88p -

August 29, 2014 - N: Hot, wet dirt road covered in pencil shavings and some green peppers. Slight pigsty.
P: Nice round and medium full body on the attack, red fruits. Very tannic through the mid palate and finish. Green notes through the medium finish. Green peppers and tomato juice.
O: A bit out of balance and quite green overall. Not great, but decent Cab Franc with food.1 person found this helpful Comment
