September 15, 2019 - The thirteenth of 14 vintages of PL back to ‘61 courtesy of Mark Golodetz. This was served blind and it showed so beautifully that it wa hard to guess. Seemingly perfectly aged with dark red fruits and tons of tertiary notes of truffles, game, black earth and minerals. Plenty of vigor here with great complexity on the finish. Quite different than the ‘61 served alongside but perhaps the better wine to drink tonight. Wow!

December 13, 2015 - The 1962 Pichon Lalande is a delicious wine from this underrated vintage, displaying a deep ruby color with only light browning at the rim, and a vibrant and expressive bouquet dominated by briary black fruit (cassis, blackberry, plum), with some nuances of licorice and cedar. On the palate, the wine is juicy, supple and extremely elegant, showing no signs of decline. Stylistically one might confuse it with an 1985.

December 6, 2014 - Pristine bottle. Lovely color appropriate for its age. Beautifully perfumed nose, textbook Pauillac. Balanced palate lingers in the mouth. A delicate and delicious wine that continued to improve in the glass. Drink now.
