June 19, 2015 - Very dark ruby red colour , purple on the edges ( for a Pinot) great nose and intensity , fragrant aromas , violets, spiced plum dark cherry smoky oak strawberry lots of layers
Palate medium to full bodied, rich fruit flavours sweet dark cherry / plums silky balance between fruit and tannins , nice gamey and herbal elements developing long drying finish
Overall Great Pinot easy to see why it was voted Champion wine of the show 2010 at NZ international Wine Show 2012
    C 15/15 n 26/28 P 38/44 O 9/11
Tasted with Riedel Central Otago glass

May 30, 2015 - Nose with strawberry and cherries. Medium body. Lots of fruit medium acids and low tannins. Lack of complexity a bit disappointing. Perhaps caused by the dominating fruits. Not as good as i remember when visiting Bannock Brae estate.

August 9, 2014 - Colour Dark ruby with crimson edges
Bouquet is sweetly floral and ripe black cherry / plum
Palate is both plummy rich yet refreshingly black cherry with savory oak tannins
    Finish slightly drying but persistent
Certainly different from the usual otago pinot due to sweet/savour character on the palate, maybe it needs a little time for fruit and tannins to in integrate
