Community Tasting Notes 2

June 5, 2014 - A surprisingly good value for the money at around 10 euro/bottle.

The 2011 René Muré Riesling signature displays a deep gold color. The nose is pronounced, with notes of green apple, citrus fruits and lots and lots of flowers (honey, acacia). A refreshingly high acidity and full body complete this great specimen of dry Alsace Riesling, which may be even able to further improve over the next 2-3 years. A great pairing for a rich pasta dish, such as spaghetti alla carbonara.

December 31, 2012 - Tart and perfumed. Medium body with angularity and loads of cleansing acidity. Excellent foil for rich, buttery seafood dishes. Long finish includes minerality and citrus. This wine is much better with food than without.
