December 1, 2018 - The line up: 2010 mazilly gevrey chambertin, 2009 petit Bocq saint estephe, 2006 canalicchio bdm, 2004 ciabot berton roggeri barolo reserva from mag, 1999 haut bergey pessac leognan. 2 bottles of each except the barolo. Opened the mazilly about 90 min before the party. Nice nose, easy drinking, fairly complex with a good finish. The least expensive of all the wines and for about half the people this was their favorite. Fantastic QPR and really aging very well. 93--94

August 18, 2014 - Great nose with a very nice but a little simple pallet. Well worth the price

April 5, 2014 - Drank pretty nice within 20 minutes. fairly dark color for burgundy, spice and tart fruit, talc tannin nose. Pretty closed in the mouth but medium body. This will turn into a nice wine. To get a gevrey for $22 all in is why I bought it and happy I did. It is a great wine to get feel for this region.

January 30, 2013 - Drank this wine over two nights. The first night the wine was very light in color, and darkened nicely over the time in the glass. The first night the wine was taught and tart. It reminded me of the 2005 Moillard Beaune Greves (which I am still waiting to soften). The wine is light in nose and texture, with a light perfumed floral scent. On the palate there is dark cherry, spice box and a bit of raspberry. There is good acidity holding the gripping finish nicely. This was very young to be drinking, and more time to unfold at this early stage is recommended.

January 29, 2013 - Very smooth taste. Clean and fresh, but also flavorful and fruity.
