January 27, 2013 - Needs 2-3 hours decanting. Decanted at 5:30 for a 6:30 tasting, but it was really awful after only 30-40 minutes. After 2-3 hours, it was very nice.

January 26, 2013 - January 2013 CT Northern Virginia Off-Line "The Inaugural" (AngryPrez's home, Falls Church VA): Wow. My WOTN and the group's #2 out of 20 wines. I've had so many Barolos whose elegant, medium body were overrun by overly aggressive tannins. Not here. This one is in impeccable balance - so utterly elegant. This was a spring garden in a bottle. Loved it!

October 19, 2012 - Really great barolo coming into its own. Decanted for 2 hrs. Nose changes from fruity and cellar dust on opening to earth and forest floor (with some VA). Still holding on to great plum, cherry and some blue fruits, great earthiness, some light saltiness and green spiciness. Medium finish with a touch of dryness. Truly outstanding barolo. I also think this will be fine for 10 more years.
