February 27, 2022 - Similar tasting notes as before but this bottle seemed to have less flavour intensity - seemed like it’s age was showing more

November 14, 2021 - This is a very good aged Chassagne Montrachet and for the price superb. The fruit flavors have lost a bit of intensity but are complemented by delicious tertiary characteristics with enough acid to keep this wine drinking well for a while yet.

It’s a medium gold color, looks weighty.

The nose is straw and honeysuckle, a little nuttiness, a little cur grass. Elegant but not super intense.

Prety high acid and generous alcohol give this wine a full bodied mouthfeel and a lot of structure. The flavor is soft, ripe pear with a hint of lemon, straw, a bit of the grassiness, and then quite a long finish where some nuttiness, petroleum and caramel come into play. A bit of a hole in the mid palate on the finish, but generally really enjoyable.

February 4, 2021 - Fantastic nose. However the palate left a little to be desired. Probably a few years past its peak although still very drinkable. A bit higher on the alcohol at 13.5 and it was noticeable but blew off with some time in glass.

December 29, 2014 - Drank from magnum. Closed at first, but opens up to reveal supertight structure without any signs of fading for the next ten years.

November 6, 2012 - Opened and poured. Oak is completely integrated and drinking in its sweet spot. Finish seemed to lack some punch.

Burgundy-Report

(Colin Marc Chassagne-Montrachet Les Caillerets) Medium-pale lemon yellow. Drunk after the villages Encegnieres the nose on this is much more subdued, dense and creamy. The palate is instantly more explosive, higher concentration and length. This is very primary and linear and I expect it will need at least 5 years to really start singing. A super wine.
