February 19, 2020 - Fruit is singing right now, tannins are integrated. A pleasure to drink and very youthful.

November 1, 2008 - Left open in the bottle for about 30 minutes, then decanted for another half hour or so. Drank throughout that time-frame of course. Oak settles in and conjures pine needles and vanilla...on the pallet this is still rich and tannic, with upfront currant and dark plum. A lot of acidity and good cab-like structure. Finishes with this tart plum with a touch of anise. Fantastic effort over at Cardinale/Atalon (not cheap by any means) and a superlative vintage. Great mouthfeel, heady glycerin nose, dark purple color with clearing edges.
