Community Tasting Notes 3

September 14, 2014 - My Grade: VG-. This is Pinot made with a light and sensitive hand. Dusty Cherry color, strawberries, vanilla, roses and pepper notes on the nose. On the palate, strawberries to the fore with sour-cherry mid-palate, some burnt toast notes and a somewhat short and thin finish. Enjoyable enough but lacking in mineral and earth notes and not much sense of place.

September 14, 2014 - Dinner at Home (Fremont, CA): Pale ruby color; good classic ripe red fruit, spice, good character; palate is light bodied, good red fruit, not deep or complex but balanced; finish is short-medium. An enjoyable california-styled ripe but balanced pinot, good for entry level <$20 but overpriced at $30. Ready now. 86-87

January 26, 2014 - Not as good as I remember from last time. A bit thin and falls flat really quick. Bevmo has this on their 5cent sale, which makes this wine 15$ a bottle, but this is not a 30$ bottle of wine.
