September 4, 2023 - Still vibrant and energetic. Plenty of grip. Licorice, smoke and a bit of dried herbs mixed with dark red fruit on the palate. The youthful oakiness is mostly gone. Probably has many more years ahead. It will be interesting to see what the wine will be like at maturity (which I would have expected by now). I’m along for the ride!

January 6, 2023 - 100% Tempranillo aged 18 months in American oak barrels, 14% vol.

Decanted 20 minutes before dinner but required much more time. On the nose first very muted, after 30 to 60 additional minutes it got red and black berries that got supplemented by tertiary notes with further air. On the palate quite austere at beginning and smooths only slowly with air, concentrated and long on the finish.

Classic Ribera del Duero with power and edges. Improved within the last five years, but still far away from its peak, this has more structure than other recent vintages and is more like a Reserva than a Crianza. If drinking now, a decant of 2 to 3 hours is highly recommended, will be best in 4 to 8 years from now, 91+.

December 21, 2021 - Great and well integrated Tinot. Complex and enjoyable, no signs of (to much) aging, perfect right now and will be nice for at least 4-5 more years.
