  October 21, 2017 - Tasted from a bottle opened two days ago. Richer and rounder than any previous taste of this wine—possibly the vintage but more likely the extra air. While delicious, the extra fat masked a lot of the wine’s minerality, which is what I’ve always liked most about it. Clearly has enough fruit and acidity to age for another few years, and I’d be interested to see what becomes of it.

  August 21, 2016 - The wine (2009 vintage) that first made me pay real attention to white wine. Nearly five years after harvest, this bottle is in great shape. Subtle aromas of lemon zest and crushed limestone; by comparison, the palate is quite rich but retains a strong backbone of acid. As the wine opened and warmed somewhat, a rounder Chardonnay profile of oak and butter emerged. A treat, although I don't recommend holding for much longer. Rated 1 on a scale of -1 to 3.
